PUJEHUN GRIEVANCE REDRESS MECHANISM COMMITTEE MONITORS FQE PROJECTS

The Pujehun District Grievance Redress Mechanism committee, responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Free Quality Education Project, has taken proactive steps to monitor and supervise government and government-assisted school projects provided in the district.

According to the Secretary of the committee Thomas Abu, the committee had been divided into groups by visiting schools throughout the district to assess challenges, identify successes, and chart a way forward. These visits also served as an opportunity to engage with school heads, the School Management Committee, and members of the Community Teachers Association to address challenges and ensure effective collaboration for an effective learning environment.

Thomas Abu emphasized the importance of these monitoring and supervision activities. He stated that by visiting schools, the committee aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the issues faced by educational institutions in the district. He stated that the information collected would allow them to provide targeted support and address any gaps hindering the successful implementation of the Free Quality Education Project.

During their visits, the committee members engaged in fruitful discussions with school heads, the School Management Committee, and Community Teachers Association members. These discussions were focused on building strong relationships among all stakeholders and addressing challenges faced by educational institutions to foster open communication channels. He added that the committee aims to improve collaboration and ensure that the needs of the schools are met effectively.

Chairperson of the committee Florence Sandy,  encouraged the committee members to give their best efforts for the betterment of all citizens. She disclosed that their effort was to recognize the crucial role education plays in national development. Madam Sandy emphasized the importance of the Free Quality Education Project and the need for the committee to work diligently to ensure its success.

The team has embarked on visits to various schools in the district to gather first-hand information on the ground realities. This approach allows the committee to gain insights into the challenges faced by schools, identify successful practices, and propose viable solutions. By adopting a comprehensive approach, the committee aims to address the specific needs of each school and ensure the effective implementation of the Free Quality Education Project.

The Pujehun District Grievance Redress Mechanism's commitment to monitoring and supervising the implementation of the Free Quality Education Project is a testament to the government's dedication to providing quality education for all.
