KEI KAMARA RECEIVES US SOCCER NATIONAL B COACHING LICENSE



Former Sierra Leone National Team Captain and MLS legend Kei Kamara,  has received the US Soccer National B Coaching Licence. Kamara, who is currently playing for Chicago Fire in the MLS, shared his accomplishment, expressing his enthusiasm and gratitude for the learning experience in football/soccer schooling this year. He emphasised the transformative and perspectives gained from the training and credited the excellent instructors for their guidance.


“Before the year rounds, I just want to share that I did some football/soccer schooling this year and it was an amazing experience, I saw the game from a completely different prospective,’’ he said, "Thanks to the great instructors.”


The 39-year-old forward has been a prominent figure in Major League Soccer, making 27 appearances in the ongoing MLS season for Chicago Fire. His seasoned career in the league includes a prior stint with Montréal in 2023.


Kamara’s influence extends beyond the field, as he solidifies his coaching qualifications with this recent licensing achievement. His dedication to the sport resonates through his pursuit of coaching expertise, showcasing a commitment to contributing to the development of soccer beyond his playing days.


With an impressive record of scoring for 10 different MLS clubs, Kei Kamara holds the esteemed third position on the MLS’s all-time scoring list, hardening his legacy as a prolific scorer across various teams within the league. His transition towards coaching adds a new dimension to his enduring impact on American soccer.
