KDFA GEARS UP TO UPLIFT FOOTBALL IN KONO

In a bid to improve the football discipline in Kono District, the Kono District Football Association (KDFA) has ended a first fruitful dialogue engagement with both Koidu New Sembehun City Council and Kono District Council games and Sport Committee Chairpersons.

 

Speaking on the overview of the meeting, the Chairman of the Kono District Football  Association (KDFA), Abubakar Mansaray, disclosed that the rationale behind the dialogue meeting with the leadership of the two Councils on games and sports committee was to discuss the new ideas to improve on the soccer discipline in the district and also to discuss around the upcoming Kono District Chiefdoms Gala competition that slated for next month to commence.

 

 " The step taken by the association was in fulfillment of my manifesto during the campaign period to ensure all football fans in the district reinstitute and improve on the Kono District Chiefdoms football competition and to bring on board those who matter for the success of football discipline in the district," he expressed.

 

He said that the dialogue meeting targeted a section of councilors from both Koidu New Sembehun City Council and Kono District Council councilors on games and Sport Committee leadership.

 

The Chairman of the Kono District Football Association (KDFA), Abubakar Mansaray, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Committee and assured them of the association's commitment under his leadership the football game spirit keep on alive and also vowed to work closely with both the City and District Councils and other Football stakeholders in and out of the district for win more football glories.

 

In her submission, the Chairperson of Games and Sport in Koidu New Sembehun City Council, Councillor Memunatu, sincerely expressed her gratitude to the leadership of KDFA for such step taken by incorporating them as local authorities representing the local government through the local Councils. She pointed out that as a committee, they are happy to work fully with the leadership of KDFA.

 

 "I was looking for such an amazing opportunity long ago to interface with the leadership of KDFA, and we will continue to work with the Kono District Football Association as an Institution to promote and support the football game in the district," she assured.

 

The Chairman of Games and Sport at Kono District Council, Councilor Kai Sama Mondeh, applauded the Chairman and his executive of KDFA for their tremendous efforts and achievements made so far in the progress of football discipline in the district just in less than six months in office.

 He promised his fullest support to ensure the fourth-coming district Chiefdoms Competition. He stressed that the competition's importance could not be overemphasized.

 

The Vice Chairman of the Kono District Football Association (KDFA), Tamba Ngaugh, shared optimism about the Kono District Chiefdoms Gala, which is expected to start in February 2024. This time around, they are also including the female Chiefdoms Competition gala. He called on all and sundry football stakeholders to support the game.
