KAFFUBULLOM SPORTS PROMOTERS TO HOST LE 150,000 TOURNAMENT

In an exciting development for football enthusiasts in Kaffubullom chiefdom, the Kaffubullom Sports Promoters have commenced their eagerly anticipated  Le 150,000 third edition tournament. The indigenous people of Kaffubullom chiefdom established this organization in 2019 with the intention of promoting football within and beyond its borders.

The centerpiece of this year's tournament is the substantial sum of 150 million old Leones, which has been allocated as the prize for the winning team. The inaugural tournament had a prize of 50 million old Leones, with Lanboi FC emerging as the victorious team. The second edition, sponsored by the Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Juldeh Jalloh, offered a star prize of 70 million old Leones, which Osman FC won.

During an interview with AimNet News, the media officer of the Kaffubullom Sports Promoters, Mohamed Lamela Kamara, highlighted some of the challenges they are currently facing. One of the Masoila communities had to withdraw from the competition due to their involvement in an ongoing football tournament. The organizers had initially expected eighteen teams to register, with the two teams with the lowest scores being eliminated, leaving sixteen teams to progress to the knockout stage.

Kamara emphasized the significant impact the tournament has had on the lives of footballers in the county. Over the years, it has been a platform for nurturing and showcasing local talent, producing numerous football stars.

Since its inception in 2019, the Kaffubullom Sports Promoters tournament has become an eagerly anticipated annual event for the people of Kaffubullom Chiefdom. It has successfully brought together sports-loving fans, fostering a sense of excitement and unity within the community. Moreover, the organizers have utilized the tournament to raise awareness about important social issues such as non-violence and drug abuse prevention, contributing to the overall development of the chiefdom.

As the tournament progresses, football enthusiasts and supporters eagerly await the thrilling matches and the crowning of this year's champion. The Kaffubullom Sports Promoters promote football and community cohesion within the chiefdom and beyond.
