JUNGLE JUSTICE AS HUNTER KILLS HUNTER IN KONO

The Motema Police Divisional Headquarters in Kono District is currently investigating an alleged murder involving 65 65-year-old man, identified as Tamba Sam, who was residing at Fanda Village 2 in Sandor Chiefdom, Kono District.

According to the Crime Officer attached to the  Motema Police Divisional Headquarters, in Kono District/ASP Kamara F.U,  on the 5th February 2024, at around 1600 hours local time, at Fanda Village 2 in Sandor Chiefdom in Kono District, they received stressful calls from O/ C Kargbo at Wordu Police post, that one Tamba aged 65 formerly of Fanda Village 2, in Sandor, Kono was allegedly shot to death with a gun in a bush within the village.

" Upon receipt of this information, a combined team of police officers and detectives headed by O/C, OD-DSP. Demba and D/Sgt 7966 Caulker R. B on SLP 126 visited the scene where the body was found lifeless," he said.

He said that the corpse of the late man, Tamba Sam, was discovered with several injuries on his left chest and shoulder, and he was lying in his cool blood in the forest in Fanda Village 2 in Sandor Chiefdom, Kono District.

He further stated that they also found with him the last man, a shotgun with an empty bullet (shell) in its barrel. He disclosed that suspected Sahr Kainessie, aged 30 years, has been arrested and is now helping police with potential information surrounding the deceased in question.

" We have also arrested two potential witnesses helping the investigation process." The Crime Officer attached to the Motema Police Divisional Headquarters in Kono District, D/ASP Kamara F.U, has been taken to the Koidu Government Hospital (KGH) mortuary for postmortem examination. The investigation is on course.
