BABADI BOOSTS DIAMOND STARS WITH LE 40 MILLION

Former National Team Manager for  Leone Stars and current Executive Chairman for Bo Rangers Football Club, Babadi Kamara,  has donated forty Million old Leones,  twenty footballs, and two sets of training bids to Diamond Stars Football Club.

The donation ceremony took place on Monday 27th November 2023 at the Secretariat of Kono District Football Association (KDFA) office located at the Koidu Community Football Field in Gbense Chiefdom, Koidu City, Kono.

The symbolic handing over was witnessed by the District Chairman KDFA, football stakeholders, fans of Diamond Stars, and the media among others.

Speaking on the official handing over of items on behalf  Babadi Kamara in absentia, Honorable Mohamed Papa Bangura applauded the football stakeholders in Kono District for their tireless efforts ensuring football had given life in the district. He noted that it was against that backdrop the Executive Chairman for Bo Rangers Football Club Babadi Kamara deemed it necessary to aid the district team, Diamond Stars FC with forty Million old leones, twenty footballs, and two sets of training bids to the Diamond Stars football club.

"Mr. Babadi Kamara would have loved to come but due to his unavoidable official duties made him come to his hometown himself," he said.

He said they are aware of the present challenges the club is faced with in the current national league.

Receiving the donated items, the Chairman Kono District Football Association (KDFA) Abubakrr Mansaray behalf of the District Executive and football stakeholders,  underscored the timely intervention of Bo Rangers Football Club, Babadi Kamara.

" Mr. Babadi Kamara is a son of the soil which has done a lot for the district in terms of supporting football games in the district," he said.

He maintained that this was not the first time he had been aiding the district football activities.

 

He saw that  few months ago,  they received a similar gesture from him for their just concluded under 12, under 14, and the district league competitions which brought success for the football discipline in the district.

" Mr. Babadi Kamara has being always identifying himself to the Kono people and proud to be a son of the soil and his humanitarian gesture has touched many football-loving fans in the entire nation," he said.

The Chairman Kono District Football Association (KDFA) of Abubakrr Mansaray expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Babadi Kamara for his timely Intervention to aid the district team as it is presently not far below the table in the ongoing national league as the team is currently challenging with some financial constraints.

He made it known that the upcoming chiefdom competition in Kono District would be also supported by him which will kick start soon. He assured that the items donated would be utilized for its intended purposes.

 Football-loving stakeholders applauded  Chairman Babadi Kamara for his humanitarian gestures and promised to make good use of the items. They called on others to follow his footsteps for the Development of the district in terms of developing the football game in the district.
